About Olive and Oregano

Who we are

Olive & Oregano are the new hot Greek street food in Wales started by Prokopis and Antonis, Two thirds of the well-established Ya- Souvlaki inside Cardiff Market.

Juicy, fresh, aromatic, spiced-up, soft, tasty pork gyros, wrapped in a traditional crispy pita bread Made in Greece, with tomatoes, onions, fries and our signature-garlic sauce (tzatziki)!

As a business owner the past 12 years, Antonis has travelled a lot around the Country and tried a lot of street food, from Thai, to Chinese but mainly Greek and can say with great certainty, that Olive & Oregano is the top of its kind in the UK, according to my experience.

If you plan to visit Cardiff or Swansea Albert Hall, this place is a no-brainer and I am sure that you will be back after your first visit!

Background

Prokopis is a well know Business owner in Cardiff and in London and Antonis Alexandris, acclaimed Greek chef with thirty-two years’ experience and a penchant for unique dishes.

In Antonis’ thirty-two years as a chef, he’s worked amongst the most elegant and well-known establishments across the globe. From cooking for royalty, judging ‘Young Chef 2011’ and securing himself an impressive Guinness world record.

After working in top restaurants in Greece, France, Italy and Norway, you’ll find the Athenian in his street food spots that allows him to interact more with customers and never too busy to chat to a regular.
