Academy is a laid-back café bar located in the heart of Swansea’s iconic Albert Hall. Designed with a contemporary, European-inspired feel, it’s a space made for sitting back, switching off, and enjoying your favourite drink. You can always expect a warm welcome and friendly service.

We’re passionate about great service and creating an easy-going atmosphere that makes every visit feel special. Our unique location means you can experience everything the Albert Hall has to offer, all while enjoying a drink you genuinely love.

What we do

At Academy, we serve a wide range of drinks to suit every taste and occasion. From beers, ciders, cocktails, wines, spirits, and low- or no-alcohol options, to speciality coffees, hot drinks, iced drinks, and softs – there’s something for everyone, any time of day.

We’ve partnered with independent Welsh roastery Coaltown Coffee, whose beans are roasted on site at their HQ in Ammanford, South Wales. Together, we’ve created a bespoke house blend sourced from Brazil, with a flavour profile of dark chocolate and almond, finished with cinder toffee sweetness. Our baristas are trained to a high standard and know exactly how to brew the perfect cup, whether you’re grabbing a quick coffee or settling in for a slower moment.

To make things even better, you can order street food from the Albert Hall traders directly to your table. It’s the perfect way to enjoy incredible food alongside great drinks, without ever leaving your seat.
